Meekatharra/Wiluna (Goldfields Highway) Road Upgrade and Sealing:

WA MYIG Inc is pleased to embrace the Midwest Development Commission's proposal to upgrade and seal the Meekatharra/Wiluna Road.

WA MYIG Inc recognises the importance of this project and the hard work and energy committed to this project by the MWDC.

WA MYIG Inc strongly agrees with the Commission that sealing the full length of road between Wiluna and Meekatharra (Goldfields Highway) will provide important community and industry benefits as well as facilitating GWR’s Wiluna West Iron Ore Project.  In addition to completing the last unsealed section of the State’s highway network, the upgrade will provide a more direct sealed route between the Goldfields, Mid West and Pilbara regions that will deliver lower freight costs and significant direct economic (jobs & growth) benefits to Western Australia.  Please download MWDC proposal here.
